Winter Fun
The month of January brought us lots of snow! Last week we were snowed in from Friday to Sunday. It was challenging at times to keep Mr. Man entertained. All he wanted to do was go outside and walk around in the snow. He loved it!
Work has been so crazy for me lately, so it was nice to be snowed in this weekend and spend some time together as a family. We made lots of home cooked meals, watched movies, and spent lots of time playing with Caleb.
Caleb is growing up so quickly. Overnight he went from wearing 12 month pants to 18 month pants. I literally cleaned out his closet two Sundays ago and found myself sorting through it again last night to make sure we had enough clothes that are the right size. I hate to buy clothes before the warm weather comes in the next few months. Warm Weather….you are coming, right?
Caleb has been learning so much lately. His sign language includes please, more, thank you, thirsty, stinky, and all done. He blows kisses to the girls. And, he loves to give you kisses. Yesterday, he gave his girlfriend at school 4 kisses before he would leave school.
He has a wonderful teacher, Ms. Cara, at his school that he loves. It is such a relief to know that not only he loves his teacher but she loves him too. I am so thankful for Ms. Cara and what great care she takes of my son.
Caleb has moved on from Elmo I am afraid. We still play with our Elmo toys, but he really loves Mickey Mouse! I think I am going to get him some Mickey Mouse toys for Valentines Day. The Hot Dog song comes on and that boy dances like crazy! He absolutely loves Mickey Mouse! So cute.
He is running all over the house and climbing on everything.
His eating is better but not where he should be. He still won’t drink any milk and eats table foods periodically throughout the day. We are working on eating more table foods! He does love grilled cheese and fish sticks. Random I know. The other day at school he ate 4 fish sticks. The rest of the children ate 1 or 2. The boy loves fish like his momma.
Jeff and I laughed the other night because we always said we would make our children eat what we ate and we would never make them their own meals. Wrong. We give Caleb some of our food every night, but it always seems that we end up making grilled cheese or fish sticks. The one thing I have learned as a parent is to never say never. You will surprise yourself all the things you will do as a parent because you love your child more than anything. From eating to dirty diapers, about everything we said we wouldn’t do, we have done:) It has been such an amazing ride and we are so thankful for our wonderful boy! Caleb is such a blessing!
We’ll post more later this week. Caleb has a doctor’s appointment today so hopefully we’ll figure out what is wrong with his digestive issues. I have been praying all day for answers!
Have a great day!
